Victoria Jeanette Ulf

From Skagit Valley Herald.....

Victoria "Vicki" Jeanette Borneman, 66, of Anacortes, WA passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at her home in Anacortes.

She was born on March 31, 1949 in Gulfport, Mississippi, the daughter of Fred and Jeanette Ulf.

At the age of 7, she moved to Pasadena, CA with her dad, mom and brother.

After attending Pasadena Community College for two years, Vicki married Raymond Sanders and gave birth to Libby and Brian. The family moved to Anacortes in 1984 and she worked at Island Hospital until becoming the receptionist at the Dental Office of Russ Borneman in 1987.

Russ and Vicki soon became more than work partners and they were married in 1988. Together they were blessed with a son, Richie, and twin daughters, Sara and Claire.

Vicki was a very loving person with a huge heart. She was the kind of person that could become lifelong friends with the stranger sitting next to her on a two hour plane ride.

Vicki loved animals of all kinds and was constantly donating to charities like N.O.A.H. She also had a huge passion for reading and "Gone with the Wind" was one of her favorite books.

Vicki had a real gift with words and would occasionally write beautiful poetry. Some of the movies she enjoyed included "The Wizard of Oz", "The Godfather" and "Pretty Woman".

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Fred.

She is survived by her former husband, Russ of Anacortes; two sons, Richard Borneman of Seattle, WA and Brian Sanders of Arizona; three daughters, Sara and Claire Borneman and Libby Digweed of Anacortes; two stepdaughters, Sucia Dhillon of Spokane, WA and Robyn Borneman of Seattle, WA and four grandchildren, Josh, Alisa and Lauren Digweed and Kinslee Borneman.

Memorials to honor Vicki can be made to N.O.A.H. and would be very heartfelt by her family.

Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands.

I am so saddened to hear of Vickie's death! I have thought about her for years wondering where she's been and hoping her life turned out good. She was truly one of the sweetest girls I  ever knew and I am sorry I lost a chance to connect with her again in this life. Can't wait to see my friends again one day and give them all a great big hug. May you Rest In Peace sweet Vickie! Your friend, Sheila

I did not know Vicki but did see her around the campus. Thank you so much for showing her class pictures. This makes it so much more personal.

I dated Vicki a few times early in senior year.  A beautiful and sweet girl.

I remember Vicky, a terrific person.  She wasn't afraid to have a good time, but within reason.  Thank you Vicki for restraining me sometimes.

I didn't know Vicky well but she was always so sweet and cute!  I didn't realize I lived in the same town with her (Anacortes, WA.) in the early 90's.  Gone too soon!
