Bummer to hear! Wayne and I went thru K-12 together. His family lived right next to Willard Elementry on Delmar. He have several siblings as I remember it. I last saw him in 1972 in the chow hall at Nellis AFB in Vegas. I was short, and he looked envious, but looks like he stayed in. I think he was in the medical field then.

Wayne was a great friend of mine at Wilson Jr. High.  As I recall, he and his brothers were adopted and raised in the Mormon faith.  I learned from Wayne how flexible faith can be for teens, for, dispite the rigorous restrictions of that religion, Wayne loved to dance, and smoke, and drink.  He gave me my first cigarette, a Tareton, when we were 14.  (He had the advantage of older brothers leading the way to his (our) teenage rebellion.  Thanks, Wayne!  I didn't quit until I was in my 30s!)   Anyway, we had a lot of laughs together, and I remember Wayne as always upbeat and ready to have fun.  When we reconnected many years later, I was amazed and impressed with what an upright citizen he'd become - serving in the military, married, raising his kids in the faith of his parents, living in Utah.  So much growth happens after those rebelious years!  I miss you Wayne!
