Stephen Norwood Smith was my best friend at Bubank and Eliot. We were constantly getting into some sort of mishcief. Steve was the smartest guy I've ever known. An avid reader he inspired me to read more. Spent many summers with his family on Alimitos Bay. Steve and mine main endevour was to not get beaten up by his older brother Terri and his best friend George Lubbock. I will always remember you Steve.
I like Steve Smith alot. We had many classes and activities together. Lol about my cousin George Lubbock. Yea,he enjoyed messing with you two. Jim (that's because he liked both of you)
Steve and I were close friends at PHS and when George Lubbock was drafted and sent to Vietnam he and I went to the Naval Air station and signed up for service together. When it came time to go he backed out and was later drafted and sent to Vietnam where he was shot but lived to come home. We talked about what could have been if he had followed thru on the Naval service. RIP my friend...
