Jimmy and I were neighbors in the Brandon St area of east Pasadena. We used to roller skate at the Moonlight Roller Rink. We played basketball at the local Boy's Club at Besse Park not too far from Bob's Big Boy. He and I were a great basketball duo often scoring 20+ each in Boy's Club LA area basketball tournaments. Jim or Jimmy, as we called him, had a great set shot. I recall him playing Pony League Baseball alongside David Buchanan the great running back from Muir High School. We also played hundreds of hours of 'whiffleball' games over the years. We played a lot of monopoly in the summers. We laughed a lot and shared many teen years before both of went into the U.S. Army. He served two tours in Vietnam. I'm sorry to hear that he passed on a few years ago while I was living in Australia, I hadn't heard of his passing until I returned to the USA in 2014 and viewed Jerry's video. Bless you Jimmy for all of the good times we had together. We were good friends.
